Albion Secure

Albion Secure takes minimal system memory which is 50-100% less than other antivirus products yet produce better results. Its lightweight yet efficient scanning algorithms do not slow down even the performance-demanding tasks. It has simple and user friendly interface. Albion Secure employs very simple user interface that would be appealing for virtually any PC user. For beginners it gives a simple access to major features, and for professionals it gives power and flexibility of configuration. All settings are intuitively grouped into categories which allow better understanding of the features and efficient usage.

It has built-in tools for contacting emergency on-line antimalware service. If one suspect that certain file is a part of malware, user might submit this file to Albion’s on-line antimalware service to get a professional analysis of this file. If the file is malicious it will be added to Albion databases immediately. This allows ensuring maximum protection against new and emerging threats. There is a slight chance that an innocent file would be marked as malware by heuristics due to suspicious behavior. If it is the case, you might also submit this file for a priority analysis.

Albion Secure automatically monitors system protection level and displays it briefly on System Status pane in each window of the program. Heuristic analysis uses typical malware behavior patterns to detect new and unknown malware that was not yet processed by our virus lab and wasn’t yet added to virus database. Albion Secure has built-in heuristic analysis that helps to deal with every newest variants of malware.

Guarding is a real-time protection system that detects and blocks viruses and other malware as it is attempting to intrude your system. Guarding monitors launching tasks, efficiently blocks and eliminates any threat 'on the fly'. Mail filter checks all incoming and outgoing mail messages and attachments which guarantees computer safety. Sending infected attachments with spam is a very common source of infection nowadays.

Additional utilities such as task manager and auto run manager add useful functionality of product. They are a superset of similar built-in Windows utilities offering advanced functions specifically adapted to dealing with malware. Also they are available when standard tools are blocked with some malware which is a very common case.

“Albion Secure’s database consists of more than 6 million unique malware footprints, and it is growing. Each day our analysts examine and add a hundreds of new entries to the database.” said Rajesh Maji, Vice President of Albion InfoTel (Corporate Affairs).

Albion DataSafe

Albion Datasafe works like industry standard backup software, but with one important difference. Instead of sending backups to a tape drive or other media attached to the computer, Albion Datasafe stores the backup over the Internet or other network connections to users online backup server safely offsite. This happens (usually) at night while computers are not being used. Backups can also be done on-demand, any time. It is completely automatic; at times you may even forget it is working. With individuals depending more and more on the data stored in their computers, secured backups in a remote location is the need of the hour.

It supports brick level backup & restore, sub-mailbox level backup & restore and has no extra charges for mailboxes. Many companies charge a per-mailbox fee for exchange backup; which is simply unfair. Albion’s most advanced brick-level exchange backup can back up an unlimited number of mailboxes at no extra fee.

It supports Windows 2000 Server & Workstation, Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2008 Server, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows ME.
