Escorts Launches New POWERTRAC DS-PLUS Tractors with a 10% Power Upgrade
POWERTRAC, a popular tractor brand from the stable of Escorts Limited, known for its excellent fuel economy, today announced the launch of its new ‘DIESEL-SAVER PLUS’ tractor series – offering not just maximum mileage but also the best-in-class horsepower ratings. The new POWERTRAC DS-PLUS series, with a 10% power upgrade across its range, caters to the emerging ‘commerce-minded’ segment of the Indian farmers, who use their tractors not just for regular farm work but also as a source of generating additional income.

Whether it is custom-hiring or usage in alternate commercial applications, Indian farmers are increasingly looking at avenues to take the maximum out of their tractors. These practices require tractors to be able to work for longer hours, operate heavier and bigger implements, and consume lesser fuel. With a revolutionary design that offers an unmatched combination of power and fuel efficiency, the new DS-Plus Series tractors helps these farmers earn more and save more.

Upgraded to 37 HP, 41 HP, and 45 HP categories, the new POWERTRAC DS-PLUS tractors have new, bigger engines that not only provide state-of-the-art fuel-saving technologies, but also best-in-class power ratings. The new stylish looks, a Haulage-special flat backend and an advanced ‘TLS’ Hydraulic system makes the new POWERTRAC DS-PLUS Series tractors best in their class.

Moreover, with paddy being the predominant crop in the region, tractor usage for puddling activities is very high. These fully water/mud-sealed tractors with bigger tyres, long-life gear box, and a highly efficient braking system are best suitable for puddling and commercial haulage applications in the state.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. S. Sridhar, Chief Executive Officer, Escorts Agri Machinery said, “The new DS-PLUS tractors from POWERTRAC stand for a unique combination of power and fuel efficiency that is second to none. These tractors are designed to not only save 10-15% of diesel to more than negate the impact of diesel price increases, these will also enable farmers to substantially increase their productivity and hence their incomes. 50% of the farming area in the state is under rice cultivation which makes it the backbone for state’s economy. The new DS-Plus series has features that are best suited for the puddling applications in the region. The tractors are priced attractively to provide famers the best value proposition in the mass tractor segment.”
