.@PolycabIndia aims Rs.1000 cr sales from #Karnataka by 2020

Bengaluru: Wire and cable producer Polycab today said it aims to achieve revenue of about Rs.1,000 from Karnataka market by 2020 compared to its current revenue of Rs 410 crore."By the end of this financial we will reach Rs.550 crore turnover from Karnataka market which is our second largest market in India only next to Maharastra,' said R Ramakrishnan, Vice Chairman & Joint Managing Director of Polycab.


The company is currently expanding its customer base and distribution network across India and introducing new products to enhance its existing product basket. As part of this strategy, Polycab has introduced a new product called 'Green Cable' in Bengaluru yesterday.The product has set a new benchmark by complying with RoHS standards (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), a European Union directive norm, by the European Union on 1st July, 2006, the company said. With a turnover Rs. 6500 Crore Polycab makes Cables, Wires, Fans, LED Lighting, Switches, MCB and Conduits.Currently it has four warehouses in Karnataka of which two are located in Bengaluru.
'We have strong product offerings, efficient and agile manufacturing capabilities, and network presence working for us. We are poised to achieve our revenue goals in a responsible manner,' said Nikhil Jaisinghani, Executive Director, Polycab.
